Could God be using rising global antisemitism and modern political movements as dual forces to fulfill His ancient promises? The answer—rooted in Scripture and history—may shock you, and it may point directly to the days just before Christ returns.
A Rapid Rise in Antisemitism
In recent years, the world has witnessed a staggering surge in antisemitism—not just in extremist pockets, but in mainstream institutions, universities, governments, and even churches. Jews around the world are facing hatred, threats, and pressure not seen since the darkest days of the 20th century.

To the casual observer, it might seem like just another social trend. But to the biblically discerning, this is a prophetic alarm bell.
“‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.” (Ezekiel 36:24)
Ezekiel along with many other prophets echoed God’s promise to return His people back to the land (Ezekiel 37:21–22; Jeremiah 30:3; Isaiah 11:11–12; Zechariah 10:8–9; Amos 9:14–15; Jeremiah 31:10; Deuteronomy 30:3–5; Isaiah 43:5–6; Zephaniah 3:20).
“It is not for your sake… that I do this… but for My holy name’s sake… and the nations shall know that I am the Lord…” (Ezekiel 36:22–23)
God’s regathering of Israel is not due to their righteousness but to display His faithfulness and vindicate His holy name before the nations.
God’s Pattern: Using Enemies to Move His People
Throughout the Bible, God has used enemy pressure—including antisemitism—not to destroy His people, but to move them, refine them, and bring them back to where He wants them to be, in the land of Israel.
God’s pattern of allowing things that He hates to accomplish the things that He loves resonates throughout the Old Testament.
▶ Egypt (Exodus 1)
The Israelites thrived in Egypt until Pharaoh turned against them. God used oppression to awaken them to His promise and deliver them toward the Promised Land.
▶ Babylon (2 Kings 25; Daniel 1)
Through Nebuchadnezzar, God judged Judah and sent them into exile. Yet in His mercy, He preserved a faithful remnant and later stirred their return through Gentile kings like Cyrus (Ezra 1:1–4).
▶ Russia & Europe (1800’s–1948)
The pogroms of the 1800’s in Russia unleashed a wave of antisemitism that pushed Jews to flee, many of them migrating to what would soon become modern Israel. This migration became the first wave of Aliyah’s into the land. After the horrors of the Holocaust, world sympathy helped establish the State of Israel in 1948. God used even the darkest chapters to fulfill His word.
“I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered… then you shall know that I am the LORD.” (Ezekiel 20:34,38)
The Remnant and the Refining
God is calling Jews back—especially His remnant, just as He always has.
This remnant will be refined by trials in the Great Tribulation.
“This third I will put into the fire;
I will refine them like silver
and test them like gold.
They will call on my name
and I will answer them;
I will say, ‘They are my people,’
and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’” (Zechariah 13:9)
Being drawn back to the land, they’ll one day recognize their Messiah at the Second Coming at the end of the Tribulation.
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.” (Zechariah 12:10)
Modern antisemitism, though evil in human origin, may be allowed by God to position His people for the fulfillment of end-time prophecy.
This antisemitic hostility serves two purposes. It exposes the heart of the world system.
“Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” (Revelation 12:17)
Also, it reveals the satanic hatred of God’s chosen people. God is pushing the Jewish people toward their prophetic homeland. The only place where God promises their ultimate deliverance.
Converging Forces: Pressure and Promotion
What we are seeing may be the result of two prophetic forces converging:
- The Force of Pressure (Antisemitism)
Like in Egypt, Babylon, and Nazi Europe, rising antisemitism is pressuring Jews to leave nations where they are no longer welcome.
- The Force of Promotion (Political Favor)
Leaders like Donald Trump, through efforts like the Abraham Accords, have helped strengthen Israel’s geopolitical position. While not necessarily spiritual in origin, such political favor opens the door for Jewish resettlement and national rebuilding.
It also brings the Jews closer to the last days fulfillment of the rebuilding of the third Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Together, these forces mirror the divine strategy God has used before.
Pressure behind, and Promise ahead.
This may be the final wave of regathering before the Tribulation begins.
“I will signal for them… and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them;… they will be as numerous as before.” (Zechariah 10:8)
A Biblical Timeline of Prophetic Movement
Time Period | Force Used by God | Result |
---|---|---|
Egypt | Oppression | Exodus to the Promised Land |
Babylon | Conquest | Exile & Return under Cyrus |
Russia (1800s) | Pogroms | First modern Aliyah (Jewish return) |
Holocaust | Persecution | Birth of modern Israel (1948) |
Today | Antisemitism + Political Favor | Return of the Remnant & Tribulation Prep |
Spiritual Reflection: Watch, Pray, Prepare
God’s faithfulness to Israel is not only a testimony of His covenant-keeping love—it’s also a warning to the world. As the Church sees these signs converging, it should provoke urgency, not complacency.
“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things…” (Luke 21:36)
The days ahead will bring more hostility toward God’s people, more upheaval in the Middle East, and more prophetic fulfillment. But they also bring us closer to the return of Jesus Christ.
Now is the time to:
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).
Support the Jews and their return to Israel (Romans 11:1–5).
Proclaim the gospel—both to Jew and Gentile—while there is time.
Final Word: The Sovereign Hand Behind the Chaos
The world may be raging, but God is not surprised. He is in control of it all. He is orchestrating the return of His people, the rise of prophetic events, and the preparation for His Son’s return.
Two forces—pressure and promise—are working together to bring about the final acts of the biblical story.
