Hello, I’m John Charest and the author and founder behind our Bible Study Simply Ministry.
I am not a pastor, theologian, or seminary professor. I am simply a believer with a deep love for God’s Word and a strong desire to understand it faithfully and carefully—much in the spirit of the Bereans, who “examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so” (Acts 17:11).
Over many years, I have devoted myself to in-depth Bible study, including coursework through Dallas Theological Seminary and extensive learning through the teachings and writings of Dr. David Jeremiah. In addition to personal study and writing, I have taught a Bible prophecy class for the past five years—an ongoing journey that continues to sharpen my own understanding through prayer, study, and discussion in the Word.
While these influences and experiences have been invaluable, I rely foremost on the Holy Spirit as my true guide and teacher as I seek to rightly handle the Scriptures.
My particular passion is biblical prophecy—not speculation or sensationalism, but understanding what God has clearly revealed in literal fashion about what is coming and why it matters now. These studies are written to encourage readers to slow down, search the Scriptures for themselves, and test the words of the world against the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
